Arrival Time
We would ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. This is to enable you to complete medical information, change, relax, unwind and familiarise yourself with your surroundings so the treatment can commence at the scheduled time. Please note that late arrival will result in the treatment time being reduced.
Medical Conditions
Some therapies are not suitable for clients with medical conditions so please let us know if you have any concerns or medical conditions. It is important that you advise us in advance of any health conditions, allergies or injuries which could affect your treatment.
Pregnancy
Allow our spa team to guide you in selecting which treatments are most suitable for you during this special time. Please note that use of the hydrotherapy area is not recommended during pregnancy. Spa treatments can be offered once you have past your first trimester in pregnancy.
Service Charge
A discretionary service charge of 10% will be added to your bill.
Cancellation Policy
You are respectfully advised that the full treatment cost will be incurred if less than 48 hours’ notice is given of an appointment postponement or cancellation. Credit card details are required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. Group bookings of 5 people or more will require a 50% deposit per person to secure the booking and the cancellation period will be stated on your booking confirmation.
Spa Attire
Swimwear is obligatory within the hydrotherapy area. Upon arrival you will be provided with a luxury robe, towel and slippers. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed during your body treatments, but we must ask that undergarments be worn – either your own, or the disposal option we provide.
Spa Etiquette
To preserve the tranquillity of The Spa we request that all guests switch off their mobile phones and leave them within their locker. We request that guests keep noise to a minimum. The Spa at the Merchant Hotel is an adult only environment and open only to persons 18 and over.
Valuables
Lockers are provided for your individual use, however, we recommend that you do not bring valuables into The Spa. The Spa at the Merchant Hotel does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage of personal items.
Please note The Spa at The Merchant Hotel reserves the right to alter prices and change or discontinue services without prior notice.
